Grief is not something we fix...
It's something we accompany.
End-of-Life Support
Facing the end of life—your own or a loved one’s—can feel overwhelming and unbearably heavy. You do not have to go through it alone. In Jewish tradition, accompanying someone at the end of life is sacred work—chesed shel emet, a true act of compassion. I offer presence, prayer, ritual, and thoughtful guidance to help individuals and families meet illness, uncertainty, dying, and early grief with dignity. This may include offering the Shema at a bedside, supporting medical decision-making, helping a family prepare for a funeral, guiding meaningful final moments and providing support following a loss. My aim is to create a space grounded in Jewish wisdom, gentleness, and deep respect for each person’s journey.
Funeral Officiation
As a rabbi and pastoral caregiver, I have officiated at hundreds of funerals and approach officiation as an act of profound accompaniment. I work closely with families to honor the life and story of their loved one, drawing on Jewish wisdom and practice, personal narrative, and the unique values that shaped their journey. My role is to hold space with steadiness, to guide with care, and to help you mark this moment with dignity, meaning, and connection. Practical Information
Funeral honoraria are set by the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis at a rate of $700 for a graveside funeral and $800 for a chapel service with graveside accompaniment and interment. In addition, I am able to offer a pastoral care package that includes being present with someone at the end of life and supporting their family both before the funeral and in the days that follow. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about what this can look like.
